Vision and Automatic Control applied to Trajectories

Trajectories are the measurable manifestation of road users' behaviors. LEPSiS develops tools to characterize the road traffic environment in terms of photometry, visibility and explicity, and to monitor the resulting behaviors, in particular with respect to vehicle dynamics (for trucks and motorbikes). We aim at optimizing road characteristics, traffic control devices and vehicle systems. It involves research in Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Data Fusion and Automatic Control.
