Created by ministerial decision in September 1970, the Computer Research Centre (CIR) is shared by INRETS and Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées. CIR has as its mission to provide a computer service and to undertake research in the field of transport To develop scientific information technology and computer techniques for Research. To master and promote new computer techniques. To support research : assistance, training and information. To collaborate on INRETS programmes and Research Units projects. CIR is the technical and scientific co-ordinator responsible for developing and managing INRETS and LCPC architecture and resources.
